In this week's Graceland podcast, Elvis Presley Enterprises' Alicia Dean and Kevin Kern talk about all of the latest Elvis news here at Graceland and around the world. First we look at some recent guests who toured Elvis Presley's Graceland last week, including some headliners at this year's Beale Street Music Festival. We also look at today's featured artist in our countdown to 60 Years of Rock 'n' Roll. Podcast listeners can hear an exclusive and rare audio clip of DJ Dewey Phillips - the first to play Elvis' "That's All Right" on his WHBQ "Red, Hot & Blue" radio show in July of 1954. In the clip, he talks about Elvis and how excited fans were to get an autograph. After airing Elvis Presley's first single on July 8, 1954, the switchboard lit up with requests. Phillips played the song on repeat for the remaining two hours of his show, while interviewing the shy 19-year-old Elvis. In addition, listeners can also check out a new article in PARADE Magazine featuring Elvis' hand-written letter to President Richard Nixon and find out more about purchasing tickets to Elvis Week 2014. The podcast duo talk about some new exciting events and the much-anticipated live performance from American Sound Studio's house band - The Memphis Boys.
